Membership program supports grassroots clubs
The Queensland Rugby League is upping the ante in its support for grassroots clubs, with confirmation today the Maroon Membership cash back initiative will return in 2018.
All registered participants who purchase a Maroon Membership through the registration process on PlayNRL, or the Maroon Member website, will have the opportunity to nominate their local club of choice to receive $10 back from their purchase.
The QRL is working closely with clubs to promote the offer in an effort to drive extra funding back to clubs, bumping up the cash back incentive from $5 to $10 this year.
“Our grassroots clubs are the lifeblood of rugby league, and we believe this is a fantastic opportunity for our clubs to receive additional funding to help them with the season ahead,” QRL Managing Director Rob Moore said.
As part of the game’s commitment to support all levels of rugby league, the QRL launched the cash back initiative at the start of the 2017 season.
More than 150 clubs were nominated and following on from the success of the Membership program, the QRL is delighted to re-launch the cash back incentive.
This offer will be live on PlayNRL from today (November 1), and on the Maroon Member website from December 8.
