The Rockhampton Leagues Club Central Queensland Capras have confirmed the re-appointment of coach Kim Williams for the 2018 season.
Williams brings vast experience to the role, with next year marking his sixth season as a head coach in Queensland’s premier competition.
He already has a coveted premiership to his name, having guided the Mackay Cutters to the 2013 Intrust Super Cup title.
Capras CEO Dominique McGregor said the contract extension would bring further stability to the club as it builds towards next year.
“The Rockhampton Leagues Club Central Queensland Capras are delighted to retain Kim’s services,” McGregor said.
“Kim is passionate about the Capras and the potential of rugby league in Central Queensland, and this contract extension will allow him and the club to up the ante in preparation for next season.”
McGregor said Williams had made an immense contribution to the Capras since joining the club in 2016.
“From day one, Kim has really embraced the Central Queensland community, including the local rugby league clubs,” McGregor said.
“He continues to build a strong culture which we believe will place the club in good stead for years to come.”
Williams said he felt he had unfinished business here and that it was important for his own personal development and well as the squads that he continue with the Club for at least one more season.
