The weekend again saw some entertaining football played by the young juniors in the Rockhampton and District Junior Rugby League.
We also saw a 7-a -side game between Rockhampton Tigers and Norths Knight Under 14 girls, both clubs are committed to get a Junior Girls competition going and it was great to see these girls showing their skills on the paddock.
Under 13 competition
Brothers took a step closer to top spot with a hard fought win over the determine Gracemere Cubs. Cap Coast Brothers and Tigers were good winners, while the upset of the round was Yeppoon’s 26-4 win over the top-of-the-table Norths. Yeppoon are in a battle for fourth spot and this will give them plenty of confidence with 4 rounds remaining.
Under 14 Competition
There is a five-way battle for the top four spots with four games to go in the regular season, Brothers were handed the two points with Gracemere unable to field a side, Yeppoon dealt Norths a blow with a solid win, Fitzroy's have kept their chances alive defeating Cap Coast Brothers while Emu Park was able to defeat Tigers again in a very close game after their win in the Charity Shield a few weeks back.
Under 15 Competition
Fitzroy's have kept their undefeated run going with a clinical win over Cap Coast Brothers. Yeppoon edged out Norths at the Gymmy Grounds and Brothers White may have ended their Blues counterparts tilt at the semi finals with a big win at Vicky Park.
Under 16 Competition
With only two games completed this weekend, Cap Coast welcomed back their representative players to defeat Yeppoon. The game of the round was the Brothers Norths epic at the Victoria Park, both welcomed back their representative players; but it was the players that have been playing all year that turned on a fantastic game that resulted in Brothers getting home 24-22.
Under 18 Competition
This coming weekend, the Under 18 Competition will welcome back representative players after the young Under 18 Capras missed out on progressing to the semi finals on the weekend, going down 36-32 in golden point extra time. This has been a sensational season for these young men and credit to the coaching staff for getting this side so far in the competition. In the local competition, Brothers Blue proved too strong for their White counterparts. Norths registered their second win of the season grinding out an 8-6 win while Fitzroy's and Cap Coast Brothers couldn't be separated at 22-22.
