Next year Mackay will host one of the biggest events in women and girls rugby league with the staging of the Souths Leagues Club All Female Club Carnival in March.
Originally planned for this month, the event will now be held on the weekend of March 5-6, 2016.
Open to girls in the Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 age groups and Open Womens, as well as being a fun weekend full of football, this carnival will also be utilised as a recruitment tool for clubs and teams for the 2016 season.
Existing club teams, new club teams and individual players all eligible to register to take part in the event.
Nominations need to be submitted via email to Carolyn Craig at c.craig@qrl.com.au by no later than Close of Business on Friday, February 19, 2016.
