Pictured: The Outback Under 20s team in Yeppoon.

The Yeppoon Seagulls Rugby League Club hosted a very successful Central Division Under 20s representative carnival over the weekend.

This is a remarkable achievement and testament to the hardworking volunteers of the club as the facility was devastated by Cyclone Marcia in February of this year.

On the field the Rockhampton Rustlers proved too strong in a highly competitive carnival.  They ultimately defeated the Bundaberg Bears 34-16 in the carnival final.

For the first time the carnival hosted a representative side from the Outback.  It was reported that the Outback boys thoroughly enjoyed their time on the Capricorn Coast and were highly competitive on the field.

Individually, Rockhampton Rustler Wade Wiltshire was named player of the carnival.  He was duly selected at centre in the Central Crows Merit Side.
