Rugby League FNQ Masters have donated $1,300 to the Bender family who lost their loving dad and husband this year.
Jason Bender was the Southern Suburbs Junior Rugby League Under 8s assistant coach and much loved family man, when he was sadly taken too soon.
Jason was one of the many valued volunteers at the club who was always more than happy to help where needed.
The funds were raised from an auction at the Cairns Masters carnival late last month. Rugby League FNQ Masters is all about “giving back to the game what the game has given us”.
“Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jason would be sure to remember his smiling, happy face and great character,” said FNQ Masters treasurer Peter Narducci.
“He was all about junior players learning the aspects of this great game whilst having fun.”
