The teams of the Innisfail Junior Rugby League celebrated the end of the 2014 season last weekend with a Friday night of mini-mod games at Calendar Park.
Three teams - Innisfail Brothers Under 11s, 13s and 16s - also booked their places in the Cairns District Junior Rugby League Grand Finals and headed north to Cairns on Saturday.
Mini-Mod teams from the Tully, Innisfail Brothers, Innisfail Cowboys and Babinda clubs enjoyed the balmy tropical winter evening games, rounding off the night with presentation of participation medallions and photos by proud families.
The Under 13s and 16s took out the premierships in their respective games with the Under 11s game taken out by the Mareeba Gladiators at Jones Park in Cairns.

Footy fever is still alive in the Innisfail District Rugby League community with the senior club, Innisfail Leprechauns, having three grades competing in the Cairns District Rugby League Finals series, inspiring the junior players throughout the region.
