REGISTRATIONS are now open for an exciting Women’s 9’s carnival taking place in Beerwah on Saturday, July 19.
Hosted by the Beerwah Bulldogs, there will be trophies and prize-money up for grabs.
The first eight paid nominations will ensure entry into the competition, which will have the same rules as the Sunshine Coast Men’s carnival staged in March this year.
There is to be a maximum of 15 players a team, with all players needing to be registered to play in the Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League competition to be eligible for the carnival.
A carnival nomination fee of $150 applies, with nominations closing on Friday, June 27.
There is a target of two four-team pools, with the groups seeded based on the Division One and Division Two competition tables as at Monday, July 7.
Sponsored by Beerwah Hotel, eight teams participating in the carnival will mean the Cup final winners take home both a Cup and $600 prize money, with the runners-up pocketing $150.
The Plate winners will also receive a Plate and $300.
There will be a canteen and BBQ operating along with the clubhouse bar opening at 1.30pm, ahead of the carnival’s 2pm kickoff.
