After the trials for the Central Division Cyril Connell and Mal Meninga squads, two squads of 30 players are selected to attend summer camps and a final trial before the commencement of the competition in late February.
Camps will be held in late December and January at Currimundi Recreation Reserve on the Sunshine Coast from Friday to Sunday with a further camp in February (early) which will constitute the final trial and selection of the first teams for Round 1.
All player commitments are compulsory and those who do not attend will be replaced in the squads. Squads will be announced and players advised before Friday, October 25 along with the relevant information of camps etc.
Thanks to all who travelled long distances to attend the trials. Although only 30 from each group will be selected for camps, all players remain in contention to replace injured or unavailable players during preparation and the series.
