Rugby league great Petero Civoniceva will share his thoughts on the state of the game and provide a fascinating insight into his own wonderful career at the Swich On Race Day in Ipswich later this month.
Civoniceva will also use the speaking engagement to highlight the QRLs Turn to Me campaign, a successful initiative supported by the beyondblue organisation.
The campaign was launched in June this year after former Broncos and Cowboys forward Isaak Ah Mau set the wheels in motion with Jets chairman Steven Johnson.
It strives to raise awareness of the issue of depression amongst rugby league players.
The August 30 function will provide guests who love their footy and fancy a flutter with the best of both worlds as it will be run in conjunction with live horse racing at the Bundamba track.

ABOUT SWICH ON
Swich On Inc. was established in November 2011 by a number of local Ipswich businessmen. Swich On is an incorporated association with the primary objectives of promoting awareness of mens health issues and raising money for mens health causes.
Swich On seeks to deliver a number of fundraising activities throughout the year to fulfil these objectives and provide an opportunity for members to enjoy social events and the company of like-minded individuals.
Although the organisation is in its infancy it has already gained significant support and a growing membership.
Support from local businesses has assisted Swich On to grow and ultimately the group is hoping to promote Ipswich, its people and to raise significant funds for particular charities.
