After posting an important victory over Ipswich last weekend, the Capras have named an unchanged side to face the Devils, and will be aiming for three wins in a row for the first time this season. The Capras harbour hopes of a finals appearance this year and will need to keep their winning momentum alive well into the back end of the season. While the home side are a team on the up their opponents Norths will be looking to this game as their chance to halt their recent losing pattern. Following two poor losses where they have conceded 108 points, the Devils will be hoping to maintain their good record against the Capras. Norths have won the past three games played between the two sides including in round 5 where they recorded a 46-26 victory. The Cutters match against Burleigh this weekend will take on special significance with both teams playing for the Kerry Pattinson Memorial Shield. A strong supporter of local rugby league, Kerry Pattinson lost her battle with cancer in 2011. The Cutters, under former head coach Paul Bramley (also a former Burleigh coach), began the concept in 2011 with the Bramley family donating the shield. This year, the match will also raise funds for the familys preferred charity, The Australian Lung Foundation. For the match, the Cutters will have a handful of Cowboys in the team, with Clint Greenshields and Rory Kostjasyn both named in the starting side. Tariq Sims is also expected to be included in the side while his brother Ashton will move back into the NRL side. Other inclusions this week see Jason Schirnack and Chris Grevsmuhl come on to the bench, with Chris Ulugia, Dave Petersen and Kelvin Nielsen the players to miss out. Burleigh have also made a number of changes for this weekends game with Steve Michaels (wing), Tyler Chadburn (five-eighth) and Mark Ioane (prop) coming into the side for Dan Kerr, Jacob Grant and Jamie Judge.

While many league watchers would feel the script featuring the top-of-the-table Northern Pride hosting the struggling Sunshine Coast is already written the Sea Eagles will have a number of reasons to believe they can subvert the narrative. They will take heart in the fact the Pride have lost to teams who were outside of the five twice this year the CQ Capras and Tweed Heads. The Sea Eagles will also be hell-bent on stopping their current losing streak by snaring the biggest scalp possible. It definitely wont be easy with the Sunshine Coast having lost 13 games in a row, one short of their record losing run of 14 in 2010-11. Adding to their challenge is the fact the Pride have not lost at Barlow Park this year. The Pride have also won four of the past five games played between the sides and posted a big 48-6 win when they met in round 5. The home side will field an unchanged line-up to the one that defeated Norths 38-6 last week, with interchange player Ryan Ghietti set to play in his 50th Cup game for the Pride and 56th overall having also played Cup for Redcliffe.
