Biography
Nate Myles is best remembered for his magnificent service to Queensland, during the Maroons' record breaking era, one of only two forwards (with Cameron Smith) to appear in every series, from 2006 to 2017.
Born in Cairns, Myles played junior rugby league with Southern Suburbs Cockatoos, and attended St Augustine's College, where he was coached by former Test winger, Lionel Williamson.
Myles signed with the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2004, making his NRL debut in 2005 and playing 19 games in his rookie season. He quickly became an important figure in the Bulldogs' pack, and was selected as one of seven debutants for Queensland, in Game I, 2006, coming off the bench.
He's usually that guy doing the hard stuff and definitely a guy that other players want to have here and out on the field with them.

Myles made his starting debut in Game II, in the second row. Myles switched to the Sydney Roosters in 2007, playing second row in the 2010 grand final loss to St George Illawarra. Equally at home in the front row, Myles relocated to Queensland in 2012, signing with Gold Coast Titans.
That same year he claimed his seventh Origin series victory and was awarded the Wally Lewis Medal as player of the series. Myles played 75 NRL games for the Titans between 2012-2015, and won the Paul Broughton Medal as the club's best player, in 2012.
He signed a three-year deal with Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in 2016 and played 26 games, before being granted a release to join Melbourne Storm, mid-way through the 2017 season.
Myles made only three appearances for the Storm - appearing in a number of games for affiliate club, Brisbane Easts - before announcing his retirement.
Myles played 14 Tests for Australia during his decorated career, on top his 32 Origin games and 233 NRL appearances.
In retirement, he has pursued a number of business interests.
The Nate Myles Cup is an annual event for under-13 teams, held at Gordonvale, just south of Cairns.
