Daniel Wagon played his junior rugby league with Springwood Tigers, before moving to New South Wales after finishing high school. He was signed by St George Dragons from the Lower Clarence club at Maclean, making his first grade debut in 1997.
Wagon switched to Parramatta in 1999, when St George and Illawarra merged. Wagon went on to play 204 NRL matches for the Eels and in 2003 won the Ken Thornett Medal as Players' Player.
Daniel did a great job at five-eighth in that third Origin game in 2001 when I can back from England.
Allan Langer FOG #50
Wagon made his State of Origin debut in 2001, partnering Paul Green, and then Allan Langer in the halves, in Queensland’s 2-1 series win. That same year, he played lock in Parramatta's 30-24 loss to Newcastle in the NRL Grand Final. He was named Dally M Lock of the Year and also toured England with the Kangaroos, but did not play a game.
On his retirement from the NRL in 2008, Wagon joined Limoux Grizzlies in the French Elite competition.
