- Biography:
Renita Garard AM was appointed as an independent director for the QRL Board in 2017. Renita has a professional background in the financial services industry and has had a long involvement in elite sport.
She is a dual Olympic gold medallist, having been a member of the Australian Women’s Hockey team from 1993 to 2000, while off the sporting field, she has fulfilled board roles with both the International Hockey Federation and Hockey Australia.
She is currently a director of a boutique financial consultancy firm, Board Chairman of the Port of Townsville Limited (POTL) and Co-Founder and Director of the 4 Aussie Heroes Foundation.
Renita has also previously held board positions in the primary health care sector.
